Shanjid Hasan is originally from Toronto, which is where he started his educational pursuits studying Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto. He then obtained a Masters of Physical Therapy from Western University in London Ontario, completing this program in the fall of 2017. Through this degree he attended placements in St. Mary’s, Owen Sound, Toronto, and finally on Manitoulin Island.
Shanjid recognizes that one of the many draws to beginning a career Manitoulin Physiotherapy Centre is the support that MPC has provided him in enhancing his growing skill set, starting with attending the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program. Shanjid has also expressed an interest in persistent pain, and has participated in leading a number of 6 week small-group educational sessions for clients in communities around the island. He values his time on the island, especially getting to and from work without traffic, and is able to enjoy nature to its fullest relaxing in his lake side cottage.
