Leslie was born and raised in Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island, where she developed her love and passion for sport and exercise. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph in 2014 and has registered with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. She specializes in Functional Movement Screening and exercise prescription. Leslie has a dedicated interest in physical education and health and is committed to furthering her education and knowledge.
Leslie is a varsity hockey alumna from Guelph and has utilized her experience to implement physical training and strategies to develop individual skills as a previous instructor for the Women's Guelph Gryphon Hockey School (09-11). She volunteers her time assisting Special Olympic baseball and also helps to coach the girls hockey team at Manitoulin Secondary School.
